Welcome to the Oxy
Tigers Rugby Club
(Oxy
Olde Boys)
Looking
to play rugby in Los Angeles?
Whether you have 10 years of experience, 1 year of experience,
or are sick of playing softball and are looking for a real
sport, The Oxy Tigers Rugby Club in Los Angeles is the place
for you.
Our two sides play in the very competitive yet social Division
II of the Southern
California Rugby Union (SCRFU). We have a long rich
tradition of rugby in Southern California dating back to
1978 and have been the bridge to success for many players
at the national and international levels such as the current
captain of the US Eagles Dave
Hodges and former Eagle 7's captain Craig Hartley. The
club was started with the idea of giving the hard hitting
and hard partying alumni of Occidental
College (Los Angeles, CA) a place to continue playing
rugby.
Over
the years the Oxy Tigers RFC (Oxy Olde Boys) have grown
into one of the most exciting and diverse clubs in California.
We are comprised of approximately 50% Oxy alumni and 50%
players from all over the U.S. and the world ranging in
age from 20 to 65.
If you're looking to play a high level of rugby in the Los
Angeles area, learn the game or simply want to run around
and have an excuse to get a black eye and have a beer, look
no further and contact The Oxy Tigers RFC.
